What a lovely and delightful woman. As a young doctor’s wife she always made me feel accepted in Medical Auxiliary. She was so down to earth. And always made me laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

What a lovely and delightful woman. As a young doctor’s wife she always made me feel accepted in Medical Auxiliary. She was so down to earth. And always made me laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Some of my favorite recipes are hand-written ones from Dottie! She would call and say: “Meet me at the back door...I have something for you.” I always knew I was in for a treat when I heard those words!
And, sometimes those words and her presence brought a plant or flowers. I treasure these times and her generosity of spirit, and loved talking books, events, art, memories, with her. LOVED - and envied - her beautiful paintings...what a talented lady! Today, I love having her wonderful raised planters she obviously couldn’t take with her when she moved...and I always, always, think of her when I plant and tend to the plants in them. I will lovingly touch them now, and be grateful for her in my life.
Blessings to all of you...I miss my neighbor, and I miss seeing all of you, too. I treasure the memories of Dottie, and pray that the very best of her lives on in you!
Love, Jo Ann Wardein
Reading of Dottie's death brought back memories of the good times we shared many years ago in the Medical Auxiliary. I keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult tim.
So glad I got a visit with her a couple of weeks ago. She was so active on the library board and supportive 20 years ago . We shared many interests through the church and the medical auxiliary. Thinking of the family and of her love for jack!
So sorry to hear about the loss of Dottie, she was such a sweet person.
Praying for your family.

I am sure Dottie has joined the group of wonderful women who have had such an impact on social graces on my generation. I feel the loss of wisdom, encouragement and awesome social gatherings with real tea cups and china!
What a lovely lady we lost
