I first met your mother back in the '80s at the Home Ec department while I was a graduate student in Food Science. She was great to talk to and we had in common that I too had worked in a rat lab. The most important memory I have of her, however, was that when I was looking for a grandmotherly type to take care of my new born daughter (25+ years ago) Louise said "why don't you ask Eva Turrentine who is your neighbor?" Apparently they played cards together at one time. Well, for the past 25 years Mrs. Turrentine has been our "Ma T" helping to shape my daughter. I never would have known her if your mom had not been so good at putting people together. May your family cherish your memories. Sincerely.

My husband, Leroy Johnson, took Jesse with him to several blind meetings and we enjoyed our time with Louise when they were gone. Leroy passed away last year but we cherished the memories of our meetings with Jesse and Louise. I remember one time she bought a sign that said "Kitchen Closed". Jesse said when the sign went up he had to take her out. Last time I visited her I believe she was in Arkanshire. My mother was blind and was a good friend of Jesse and Louise as well. Good folks.
