We would talk with Ed while walking in the neighborhood. He was such a nice guy, and bravely walked with his caregiver and his dog whenever he could, although you could tell it was hard for him. We miss seeing him and talking with him, and send our sincere condolences to his family and friends.

For years, I served with Ed on the CAFLS curriculum committee. We could always count on Ed to have his yellow pads with notes from previous meetings going back years. He would willingly go back in his records to find answers or correct comments. Wonderful colleague!

Many likely don’t know this though I’d like to share- Ed was instrumental to opening the competitive pool at the Jones Center —1996/97. He coached me - as the JCF Director of recreation on so many levels. He was the kind of mentor anybody be would be privileged to have by their side. We became friends.
