I was close to Ed, Vickie, Doug and Blake for many years, but after leaving Fayetteville in 2015 I lost contact with them (except for sending Doug b'day wishes every year). I respected Ed and Vickie greatly for the job they did raising their 4 sons in such a fine manner. When my own son turned 10 I was struggling with issues that he developed. I remember buying a six pack and going over to Ed's to ask for his guidance. I'll never forget the advise he offered me, and that we finished that 6 pack. They don't make them like Ed Kinsey much anymore!!

My husband, Earnie, and I met Ed at Fayetteville Athletic Club (FAC). As I watched him work out, I was so impressed how meticulous he was about each exercise he performed - never hurried. He showed me one day how to properly do an arm curl, making sure my arm was completely extended down before curling the weighted arm again. He said, "It's not about how fast or many reps you do but how properly you do them." He proudly told me about being the first ever Mr. Arkansas body building champion and also about his days serving our country. He was a great example to all of us. We hope sweet memories brings you peace.

I loved hearing his various stories. He would teach me about breathing to strengthen the abs. It was fascinating hearing his Mr. Arkansas stories also. It was a joy taking care of him. He definitely imparted his wisdom on me. Also I loved watching his and Vickie’s relationship. It was an inspiration to see. He will be missed.
