Elma Irene Carter's Obituary
Elma was born January 16, 1924 to James Monroe Dotson and Erma Elma Lollace Dotson in Bentonville, Arkansas.
She enjoyed being a member of the Calvary Baptist Church community for several years.
Active in bowling, she participated with her friends and teammates for over 50 years, as well as holding State and Local League offices. She was also a member of the National 600 Club.
Having a talent for math, she worked as a bookkeeper for the family automotive repair business then retired from Coca Cola as a bookkeeper for the maintenance department.
Preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Russell Carter, her parents, brothers James Dotson, her sisters Thelma Ward and husband Jack, and Beulah McBroom and husband Homer. Elma is survived by her son, Garry Carter and wife Cathy, grandchildren Joshua, Zoe, Matthew and Thomas, great grandchildren Aiden and Lincoln Carter, and her brother Dewey.
Elma will always be remembered as the loving and giving soul. She was also a loyal friend, aunt, mother, and wife. Her world will miss her greatly.
