Dee, what an awesome mom. I can still see in in the bleachers cheering you on. Though I did not know your mother except through school, I see her values reflected through you. She accomplished so much in her personal life and the community. She made a difference.
Words cannot express my sorrow at hearing of Ernestine's passing. I am also filled with joy because I know that she is now at home with her heavenly father. I met Ernestine when we attended classes together at U of A Fayetteville, pursuing our bachelor's degree. Although we were in different cities around the state, Ernestine brought so much to our cohort. She always had a bright smile and a kind word for everyone! Our cohort got the chance to meet once per semester and we all enjoyed getting to know Ernestine immensely. She will be greatly missed by all who had the opportunity to know her. I'm glad that we had the chance to become not just classmates but friends. My prayers are with her family at this time.

I first met Ms. Ernestine back when she worked for Mexican Original at Tyson Foods, Inc. She immediately impressed me and struck me as a very beautiful, professional, smart, and encouraging lady. I was sad when she left Tyson Foods to go work at Staff Mark - we needed her there. When I later talked to her at Staff Mark she explained to me that that was a good move for her. She ALWAYS had a smile on her face. We would occationally run into each other when we were out and about. She was always so nice to me, pleasant and encouraging. I had the opportunity to hear her sing at the Gospel Feast last year at the UofA. She got a standing ovation! She was outstanding! She was beautiful and will be dearly missed, but never ever forgotten. Gibson Family: You are all in my prayers. May God bless and comfort you at this time and in the future. Love Mona Ray.

We were saddened at the loss of Ernestine. We knew Ernestine many years ago as she was working at G.M.A.C. We owned an automobile dealership and talked with her on a weekly basis. She was all business, but when that was over, she was a hoot, laughing and joking.. She will be missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
