Evelyn Lee Lamb's Obituary
Evelyn (Evy) Lee Lamb was born April 17, 1947, in Holdrege, Nebraska, to Glenn and Frances Lamb. She was the youngest of six daughters. She passed away in the arms of her Savior on February 18, 2022, at the age of 74. She grew up on a farm near Holdrege, Nebraska. Evy graduated from Holdrege High School and furthered her education at Hastings College, in Hastings, Nebraska. She received her master’s degree in Music at Scarritt College in Nashville, Tennessee. She stated that “Music is my life.” Evy was a music director at a church in Stuttgart, Arkansas. After she moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas and started the Shepherd Music School in Rogers, Arkansas, where she taught voice, piano, and guitar. She was also the Chair of the Area 6 Arkansas Handbell Music of America.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Pearl Carlson, and Nyla Nelson; nephew, Glenn Nelson; brothers-in-law, Harold Shield, Dean Humphries, Darrel Nelson, and Les Dallman.
She is survived by sisters, Karene Dallman, Geraldine “Gerry” Humphries, and Kathryn “Kathy” James and husband Dale; five nieces, four nephews, special close friends, Alan and Lois Yount; and many other friends. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Holdrege, Nebraska.
