My earliest memory of Panchy is of her taking over the kitchen in Frances' first house in West Little Rock, cooking up some good eats for all her girls and their friends. (She passed on her culinary skills to Frances.) I have another favorite memory of Panchy from years ago when Caroline was a toddler. I was accompanying Panchy, Frances, Gregg, and Caroline to a neighborhood restaurant in Fayetteville. Somewhere between 3240 Charing Cross and the restaurant, Caroline asked for her pacifier. In the front seat Frances' eyes got big, and she turned to Panchy and whispered, "Mom, did you bring the pink bag?" Panchy's eyes grew just as big, and she answered, "Nooooo." Then from the car seat in the back Caroline reprimanded, "Nana! Why you no bring my pink bag!?" Off and on over the years I've remembered Caroline and the pink bag. What a great way to recover when someone has let you down but in a way that really isn't all that hurtful; most of the time it's only a forgotten pink bag. Rhode, Frances, and Virmarie, about your mom: "Some people touch our lives only briefly?while others leave a lasting impression and are never forgotten."

Rhode and Rob,
We were so sorry to hear about your mom.The only advise I can give is trust in God and know that you will see her again someday soon. Seeing Deandra and Jebadiah again someday soon and Makinleigh is what gives us reason to get out of bed each day. We love you guys and are here if you need to talk.
Danny and I loved talking with Panchy at SHS. She invited us to her home on several occasions. She will definitely be remembered by us. I will try to locate pictures of when she fixed a "Thanksgiving dinner" for some of us including my daughter, Honey, and forward them to you. Panchy was so much fun to listen to. I apologize to the family for not visiting after her departure from SHS.
Thank you, Panchy, for being such an inspiration to all teachers. You truly cared about your students and made sure that each lesson would reach all kinds of kids.
We will miss your generous spirit and your sweet smile.

I have been thinking about something your mom said to me many years ago.
She said, "I have been depressed for a long time because of the sadness in my life, but I am better now. God has been showing me that the world is not a perfect place and that I have been expecting, on earth, the kind of happiness that we will experience only in heaven." Rhode, Frances and V, may you find comfort knowing that she is, today,
experiencing the total happiness she has
waited for. Much love to you all. I am praying for you and your families.
May God bless you all at this time.
Greg, Frances, Caroline and Wilson,
Our deepest sympathy, you are in our thoughts and prayers.
