I worked with Garth from 1976 until he left the railroad. It was hard to find a better person to trust my life with on the trains. He was always a joy to be around at work and off duty.

Garth and I worked on the railroad together. He was a really great person. First time I ever went over 100mph on a motorcycle was beside Garth on I30.
I was so saddened to hear of Garth's death. He reached out to me to ride bicycles together on the Razorback Greenway and was always a pleasure to be around. He spoke often of his family and was proud of their accomplishments. Garth was a fine, giving man whom I will always remember with fondness and admiration.

I met Garth when we were 5 years old, starting our education at Wilson Elementary School in Little Rock. For 9 years we went to school together. I am saddened by the loss you all have suffered. Though I had not seen him in since 1963, he was obviously most unforgettable. Please accept my condolences. I have nothing but fond memories of Garth. God bless.
