I have so many memories of fun times with Jerry and the whole Abram family. Our children in school together, and of course, the Stingray Swim Team days. Probably those days the most memorable. Jerry always with a smile on his face, always so happy and willing to help and just being there. Of course, it was not just Jerry but the whole family. As I shared the news of his passing with my out of town children, the first thing they said to me was they remember how happy and smiling he always was. We know he cared for all. I am sorry I am not able to attend the visitation/funeral but am sharing my thoughts and prayers for Mary and the children knowing that their memories will bring smiles to their faces as they fondly remember their husband and dad. My love to all.

One of our favorite memories of President Abram is from long ago when we were young parents. Ruby was going to the Church for a temple recommend interview. On the way, our children were very rowdy. She asked them to quiet down several times. During the last time she tried to quiet them, she hit the curb on the corner of Joyce and Crossover Road. She was very upset and yelled at them to be quiet. When she got to the Church and President Abram called her to him for her interview, she said, "President Abram, I don't feel worthy for an interview. I certainly don't feel worthy to go to the temple. I just got through yelling at my kids to be quiet." President Abram just looked at her for a few seconds and then said, "Sister Wells, they probably deserved it. Now, get in here." Later that night, he helped Barry to give Ruby a blessing for the baby she was having difficulty carrying. The blessing even named the baby.

What a blessing he was in so many ways in our lives and in the lives of all those around him. We want you to know how precious all of you who are left behind are to us. We love you!

From the first time we met Jerry in 1995 until today, he was always kind, supportive, and loving toward our family and toward me personally. Moving to Bentonville was a big event in our family’s life, and Jerry’s welcoming spirit made it a wonderful change for us. He became a wonderful friend, inspiring church leader, and someone who always made you feel good about yourself. One thing that made Jerry so lovable with his great sense of humor and his ability to not take himself or many situations too seriously.

Mary, Simon, Rochelle, and the rest of the Abram family, please know of our tremendous gratitude not only for Jerry but for each of you as well as the goodness of your lives. You’ve been a great blessing to our family and to me personally.

I have many wonderful memories of my dear friend and brother in the gospel. He is truely one that lived up to all the kind, caring, and loving words said about him. Always a smile. Made everyone feel special. Just one quick story to show his character: When the new stakes were created and Elder Bednar was presiding, when a couple of unexpected guests showed up, he and Mary gave up their front row seats so these two sisters could set there.
I loved this man with all my heart. He will be missed. But I am sure he has already heard the words "Well done thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord."

We have many wonderful memories of Patriarch Abram. A ministering angel to all he ever came in contact with and what a ministering angel he is going to be on the other side of veil. What a glorious reunion he is having now, especially with, Rhonda and family! We love you. Mary, we love and pray for you during this separation. When I first met Jerry, he immediately made me feel comfortable. He has such a quick wit and fun sense of humor. He is someone all wanted to be around. He always had fun stories about Eric growing up with their family. I also loved hearing about his conversion to the gospel and his love of the Lord. He has done so much for the church in this area by focusing on loving others. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Love, Michelle Zebley

When I was 11 years old I would often visit the Abram‘s. Jerry would always be sitting at the table in the kitchen and would invite me to come and sit and talk to him. He would ask me philosophical questions and I would do my best to answer them. Even though most of the time I really hardly knew what he was talking about. What I do remember most is that he treated me Like a friend and listened to me. He was always the one that would invite me to go on the Family Canoe trips On the Buffalo River and the fun boat trips on Loch Lomond.

He was exactly the same 40 years ago as he was last week: positive, funny, enjoyable to talk to and always smiling and friendly. In many ways he was like a second dad to me. He and Mary took good care of me as a boy after my mother died. I will always have a special place in my heart for both of them.
