Jack F. Cauwels' Obituary
Jack F. Cauwels, age 91, of Bentonville passed away Thursday August 7, 2025, in Bentonville. He was born March 1, 1934 in Patterson, New Jersey, the son of Frank Edward and Irene Comys Cauwels. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Phyllis Jean Cauwels, a daughter, Dawn Irene Cauwels, son David Paul Cauwels and a granddaughter Emery Jean Piston.
Jack graduated from John Brown University, and later completed his MBA. He worked in the Insurance industry as an independent broker and was owner of the Insurance Center of Merced.
Jack’s first love was for the Lord, and if you knew him for more than 5 minutes he would tell you that himself. He was committed to faith, family, and had a great love for people. He lived a life of service and generosity. He found great joy using his gifts to serve on ministry boards for, Living on the Edge Ministry (Chip Ingram), Walk Thru the Bible, CBMC, Mount Hermon Christian Conference Center, and Luis Palau ministries. He lived his life practicing hospitality, leading small group Bible Studies as well as spending intentional time investing in the lives of men, helping them to grow in their walk with God through CBMC’s Operation Timothy.
He is survived by his wife Betty Shewmaker; son, Mark and wife, Sue, daughter, Caryn and husband, Randy, daughter, Denise ,and daughter-in-law, Becky; 16 grandchildren, John, Richie, Jamie, Ben, Kristin, Jessica, Kristy, Kory, Ashley, Baylee, Kaci, Carter, Blaine, Elias, Elliott and Kaya and 19 great-grandchildren, Josie, Kaiya, Abigail, Johnathan, Brody, Jack, August, Miles, Juliana, Lily, Zoe, Jace Robert, Ally, Wesley, Jeffery, Bradley, Jace, Lois, and Aubrey. Jack was much loved by Betty’s children, son Richard, and wife Samantha, and son Brian, and wife Leslie, and their grandchildren, Chandler, Chase, Cameron, and Carolyn and great grandchildren Ivy and Briar.
Please join us in celebrating his life on Saturday, August 16th at 10 AM, at The Chapel on the Creek, Rogers, Ark. Private burial will be at Pinnacle Memorial Gardens.
