Jack E. Nolan, Jr. 73, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, June 28, 2011 in Springdale. He was born June 4, 1938 in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Jack E. and Imagine Millard Nolan. He retired after twenty-one years of service from the Read Obituary
Jack Nolan was one of the finest men I have ever known. I experienced the honor of serving with him, the excitement of bowling with him, and the fun of fishing with him; moreover, I had the good fortune of learning from him. I know he will be missed by by his family and friends; however, I am secure in the knowledge that he is in a better place. Goodbye old friend.
Dad, I know that you have gone to a better place, and you are free of the pain that you suffered through for years. However, I will always remember you as you were, my father, my teacher, my friend. You taught me so much, and were always eager to see me learn new skills. I hope that I have made you proud, and will continue to make you proud, because I was always proud of you. Enjoy your new journey, and I bet you have already caught a few big fish up there already. I love you Dad.

Jack was my friend,in high school he did not change,we did not see each outher for years but he would callme when in town. I rembmber @ our hang out Dells he like valo milk candy.we both did I gess because they were a nickle.He will be missed.

Dear Uncle Jack - You always made me feel loved with your open arms and your warm and happy smile. I still remember the family trips to Colorado when I was a young girl and the fun times when you took us camping and fishing. It seems like yesteday... You will always be in my heart! My Dad will be remembered by most for his passion to fish, hunt, bowl and any number of other hobbies he had. Growing up, he was a strict disciplinarian, but we always understood that it was his desire to mold us into respectable and responsible men when we grew up. He also had a playful side and liked to walk the line. A favorite plaque of his in the house reads, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will sit in his boat and drink beer all day!" As a grown up, I understand how hard it is to be both respected as both a serious person as well as someone who knows how to have fun. My Dad understood that duality in spades and that is what endeared people to him. I'll always be thankful to God for having such a great Dad. His earthly body finally gave out, but I know that he is now sitting in a bass boat drinking beer in heaven. I Love you Dad and will think of you all the time.
