I extend my deepest personal condolences to Betty and Jeff during this season of sadness. I personally share your sense of loss. For the many years that I was privileged (actually blessed) to know Jack I considered him a dear personal friend and comrade. I always looked forward to spending time with him and certainly appreciated his rather unique sense of humor. Jack was truly “one-of-a-kind” and a real credit to his chosen profession. Countless times I have witnessed his willingness to sacrifice his own time to help someone who was down on their luck or who were facing a particularly trying time in their life. I honestly don't think there was a pretentious bone in Jack's body. His humility was one of the attractions of his personality. I shall surely miss Jack and will anticipate rejoining him on that distant shore that awaits us in the not so distant future. Betty, I know that Jack loved you and Jeff, he was so proud of you. If there is anything that I can do for the family I would ask them to not hesitate contacting me accordingly. Bob I. Mayes, Esq.
