Jackie Dean Knox's Obituary
Jackie D. Knox, 76 of Fayetteville died Monday, January 27, 2014 in Fayetteville. He was born March 10, 1937 in LaRue, Arkansas the son of Rev. Horace M. Knox and Mary Belle Pittillo Knox.
He married the former Betty Putman on November 22, 1961 in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. He served in the US Navy and was employed by the US Justice Department as a FBI agent. He was a member of the Ozark Chapter of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI and was preceded in death by his parents and a sister. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Betty Knox of the home; son, Jeff Knox and his wife, Alison, of Fayetteville; grandson, William Knox of Fayetteville; 2 brothers, Keith Knox and his wife, Jean of Garfield, AR, John P. Knox of Garfield, AR and sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Joyce and Max McCann. Funeral service will be 1:00PM, Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Burial will be in Martin Cemetery in LaRue, AR. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6PM on Thursday at Nelson-Berna.
