Rev Bennie J. McWha's Obituary
Rev. Bennie J. McWha, 68, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2005 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born August 09, 1936 in Glenwood, Arkansas the son of Ernest and Lottie Thrash McWha. He received his Doctorate of Divinity at the Missionary Baptist Seminary in Little Rock, Arkansas. He served as a missionary in Japan for 17 years and Russia for 9 months. Then he ministered in Indiana, Texas, and Michigan, with the Institute of Basic Life Principles and recently served as Chaplain for the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He attended the Fellowship Bible Church in Springdale, Arkansas.
He is survived by his wife; Shelba Jean Shuffield McWha of the home, his mother; Lottie McWha of Fayetteville, Arkansas, one son and daughter in law; Ernie McWha and his wife Debra of Fayetteville, Arkansas, two daughters and sons in law; Carrie Bennett and husband Ken of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Diane Burns and husband Jimmy of Fayetteville, Arkansas, one sister and brother in law; June Jones and husband the Rev. James Jones of Batesville, Arkansas, eighteen grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.
Following a private burial, funeral services will be at 2:30 PM, Sunday, January 23, 2005 at the Central Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Mr. Ron Fuhrman, and Rev. John Glasser officiating. Pallbearers will be; Steve Schneider, Chris Overby, Ken Bennett, Jimmy Burns, Bradley Burns and Ernie McWha. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons; Benjamin Burns, Joseph Burns, Stephen Burns, Samuel Burns, Caleb Burns, Michael Bennett, Andrew Bennett, and the Chaplains of Washington Regional Medical Center.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM Saturday, January 22, 2005 in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, with the family being present.
