John,
You were always the life of the dock! I remember you never met a stranger and you made Rob and I feel a part of your "dock family". We will miss you.
My family had the wonderful opportunity to spend time with John at Prairie Creek Marina when we had a houseboat across from his. He was a very generous and caring man. He exemplified the True Gentleman we learned about as young men in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. I regret that I didnt take the opportunity to let him know how special I think he was. To family and friends of John, you probably already know this but he was always a joy to be around and seemed to genuinely care for everyone he came into contact with. I will miss his fish frys and other cooking he did for anyone that was near. Phi Alpha John!
John was 1 day younger than I and we shared birthday parties in our much younger days. Our sympathy goes out to all of your family as he was a good man that will be greatly missed. It was a pleasure being his classmate and growing up with him in Camden.
My sincere sympathy on John's death. John is remembered in my prayers.
To our best and dearest friend, we will miss you forever!
John has been a wonderful family friend for as long as I can remember, most importantly to my parents Pete & Pat, and to me & Stephanie, and to my sons Eric & Tucker. In fact, we considered him family as he was that close. From annual fishing trips all the way back to my childhood, to teaching my sons how to kick back and enjoy life on a lake houseboat. As fun to be with, as he was very generous and giving. He was a master host and would light up a room with his big smile, and he always liked sharing a good joke. We love you John, and will miss you dearly. Rest in peace, friend.
The picture of John sums up so much of what were good memories of John's favorite interests--fishing, and people. Remember one memorable time with he and Margaret on the houseboat... fun time and another was a good Christmas in Springdale with us and the Coans...and Jordan and Jessica. John was a great host, a good friend in high school days, and a good brother in law. His love for his family was obvious. Lots of fun memories of family times when all gathered in Fayetteville or Springdale. Cousins growing up and families visiting together gathered around something John was usually grilling. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
So sad to hear of John's passing. May I extend my most sincere sympathy to the family. Jack B. McCutcheon
Hey John, I'm really going to miss ya man... Always considered you to be like a second grandpa... Your laugh, presence, and overall great spirit will always be in my mind. Had so many great times fishing, at Sanibel, you name it... Rest easy.
Our prayers are with the family and friends John C leaves behind. What a great friend we have all lost, but he will remain in our hearts forever. We have never known such a kind, generous, fun-loving individual as John was. May the trout be bigger and the brim be smaller in the after life for John. We are fortunate that John taught all of us a little bit about cooking, something he was so good at.
