John Zenus Clark's Obituary
John Zenas Clark, age 80, of Stockton, Missouri died August 9, 2003 in Stockton. He was born November 8, 1922 in Springhill, Kansas the son of Fred Ray and Lilly Mae Weaver Clark. At the age of two, his father passed away and his mother moved to Bolivar, Missouri where she raised him along with his two brothers Orin and George Clark. He was an auto mechanic running his own business except for three years he served in the Marines during World War II. On October 15, 1945 he married Gladys Rice and they enjoyed fifty-one years together before her death in 1996. He was preceded in death by his mother, his brothers, and a son.
He is survived by his wife Wanda Clark, a daughter Kim Maguire and her husband Brett, a step-son Tom Mechsner, two step-daughters, Cheryl Fanning and Alicia Chism, three grandchildren, Ryan Loften and Ben and Abby Maguire, five step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A precious one from us has gone, a voice we loved is stilled. A place is vacant in our midst, which never will be filled. God in his wisdom has recalled the boon his love has given. And though his memory lingers still the soul is safe in heaven.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 13, 2003 at the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Brown officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens. Visitation is scheduled on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. with the family present from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
The family request memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
