Jonathan "Bud" Lee Hogue's Obituary
Jonathan “Bud” Lee Hogue was born December 6, 1960 to Berthina May and Delbert Leon Hogue in San Francisco, California. He began eternal life in Heaven on April 28, 2026.
He was a modern renaissance man with diverse loves. In no particular order, Bud loved GI Joe’s, Western novels, America, the Military, computer hardware, classic rock and classic cars. He loved dogs, especially bulldogs, but for the most part, not cats. He loved most people and rarely knew a stranger. Bud loved humor, specifically dad jokes. He enjoyed milk, coffee, popcorn, watching movies and swimming. Bud loved the Northern California Coast. He loved his carefully curated grouping of jackets, flannels and Southern Gospel Homecoming DVDs. We recently discovered his extensive collection of bits and bolts, rocks and shells, wrenches, rolls of extra cable and random zip ties.
He especially loved his family, close friends and most importantly, the Lord. Bud was preceded in death by his brother Delbert Leon Hogue, Jr., his mother Berthina May Hale, father Delbert Leon Hogue, grandmother Gladys May Heaton, step-father Billy Gene Hale and grand-dog Sarge.
He is survived by his wife Patti Sue Hogue, daughters Kaci Lei Crow and Kayla Renae Hogue, his son Samuel Leon Hogue, son-in-law Terry Jerome Crow, Jr., grandsons Tydus Jerome Crow and Thane Jeremiah Crow, dog Chief and grand-dog Jane Farris, as well as many more extended family and friends.
Bud, our dad, Papa and friend will be dearly missed.
Cremation arrangements under the direction of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Rogers.
Memorial service will be held at Haskell First Assembly of God church in Haskell, Oklahoma on May 23, 2026 at 11am. A burial to follow.
