Thoughts and prayers. I appreciated Dr. McCoy's dedication as a professor and researcher and thoughtfulness and care for her students.
I was shocked when I learned of Dr. McCoy's passing. She was so vivacious and so interested in all things decent. And she was too young to pass from this earth.

We are so honored that Ms. McCoy wished Faith in Action to be the recipient of memorials in her honor.
I regret that I did not know her, although as a geriatric clinical social worker I have been acquainted with Dr. Jean Turner. How said that her death has come at such a young age and so soon after her retirement.
Faith in Action helps all elderly homebound and disabled in Northwest Arkansas. We thank you all for your support of our work.
I worked with Dr. McCoy for seven years in Home Economics and then Human Environmental Sciences. I loved her enthusiasm for her work and her warm and generous spirit and will miss her.
I was so sorry to hear that Harriett had passed away. I always enjoyed visiting and working with her and Mary Alice and very much admired the work that they and their graduate students did in human nutrition.
Take care, Howell
I had the privilege of working with Dr. McCoy for nearly 21 years and was able to experience first hand her love and concern for others. Her interest and concern for each of us was always greatly appreciated. The many notes of encouragement for me and my family were such a help. Her quiet spirit and not wanting recognition for all the many behind the scenes things she did were such an inspiration. We will miss her.
I became acquainted with Dr. Harriett McCoy when my sister, Betty Sharp, worked with Dr. McCoy years ago. Dr. McCoy was always gracious and kind to me. She had a great dry sense of humor. She was the kind of person who knew you no matter where you met her. She was truly a wonderful lady who will be greatly missed!
I knew Dr. McCoy year's ago when I worked in what was then called the Department of Home Economics. Dr. McCoy was always a friendly, kind and considerate lady. She was loved and respected by her colleagues, friends, co-workers, and students. What a terrible loss. Harriett will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
I worked for and with Dr. Harriett McCoy for many years at the University of Arkansas' School of Human Environmental Sciences. She was always a gracious lady. She was warm and generous, and always so kind to her staff. I know she will be greatly missed.
