Sam and I both knew Kay and admired her very much for both her professional competence and her personality. Kay and I worked together when she was with the University of Arkansas and I was a lobbyists for the University at the system office in Little Rock. Sam and Kay are the same age and they became acquainted through Democratic party politics in the late 60's and 70's. We are shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
I was sorry to hear about Kathryn. She is in God's loving arms now, and I know she excited to see Jesus. She was a couple of years ahead of me in H.S. I kind of sort of grew up around all the Fairchild kids, Great family,and nice as can beand Mom and Dad Fairchild use to live behind my mom and dad on the west side of Fayetteville. My prayers are with all of the family.

our memories of Kay just encompass a lifetime- she always had such a zest for life and everything she did. what a terrific smile- and contagious laugh! We shared some "eventful" times at scout camp and most of the time followed the "girl scout law"! She was so proud of her girls and sweet grandkids and loved her family.the class of '64 has lost a special member and we "girls" have lost a special friend- Our family sends love to all of you.
