I was out of town for 2 weeks and only read Lanny's obituary today. I knew Lanny slightly since I was 4 years older but I knew Jeep quite well. Jeep and I played football together at John Marshall and ran around together a lot although I was a year ahead of him. I want to express my deepest condolences for your loss.

It is a sad day for the John Marshall Bears with the passing of Lanny. Lanny was always present at many reunions at JMHS many times as the MC. Now I have lost two special friends, Walter(Jeep) and Lanny. RIP May God Bless the family at this time of sorrow.

My prayers are with your family on your loss. Lanny was a friend of my mother, Blanche, at the Senior Social center. I smile when I think of picking her up and seeing him sitting on the porch. He would point his finger at me and have some comment and laugh. Such a sweet man. He's a blessing in Heaven now and waiting til he sees his family again.

All the photos speak works about Lanny and his great smile. He never appeared to have problems or any bad days. He took each day as it came with a smile and wonderful sense of humor. He matched well with Rhonda and she was a great partner for him. Our prayers are with all the family as they share the loss of this family member and friend.

I first met Lanny in elementry school at University Hills, then John Marshall, Central State. he was always considered a great guy, easy going friend to all. We have a great class at JM and Lanny helped keep us all in touch. I'll mess him. We'll all miss him.
