Larry Donald Shaffer's Obituary
Larry Donald Shaffer, age 77, of Fayetteville passed away Monday, July 17, 2023.
Larry was born July 1, 1946, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Bill and Beulah Shaffer. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Marilyn Shaffer and Margaret Shaffer, and two brothers; Earl Shaffer and Fred Shaffer.
He is survived by his son, Eric Shaffer, and wife Michaela of Fayetteville, Arkansas, his sister, Linda Inzer of Morrison, Colorado, his brother Jerry Shaffer of Springdale, Arkansas, and one grandchild, Liam Shaffer.
Larry graduated from Greenland high school in 1964 where he was an accomplished football player leading the state in scoring his Junior year. He also attended the University of Arkansas and was a proud member of the Arkansas Razorbacks, who won the National Championship his freshmen year.
After graduating college, Larry went on to develop his career in the financial industry beginning in 1974 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for American Express. In 1990 he founded a company in Fayetteville, Arkansas which is still owned and operated by the Shaffer family to this day.
Memorial Service will be Saturday, July, 22nd, 2023, at 11:00am at Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
