We will remember Leila as a friend and think of her often. We know she's in a better place now and that we'll see her again.
Leila and I were good friends while I worked at VA while my husband was in college. She was always so sweet and kind and helpful.
Sorry to hear of Leila's death. I was
always so proud of her and the way
she dedicated her life to others. I will be
at Sabetha at the grave side service.
Both Miss Keim and I are Kansans and both of us served in WWII, she as a nurse in Japan and I as a medical lab technician in the Medterranean Theater. We both worked together on the same ward at the V.A Hospital until retirement. Mss Keim was a reliabe, perceptive nurse who empathized with her patients and who understood the personalities and families of her co-workers.
I met her many times at the local grocery store after retirement and found her always happy, and optamistic. She was the kind of person who is always remembered .

Leila and I were very close. We talked every few days. I came to know Leila when moving to Fayetteville and she was our neighbor. She helped me alot. She in her way took on my family as her own. She was very loving and close to my daughter(Janina) and son (Kayri). She was loved by all of us. We will always remember her. Our thoughts go out to all of the family. I am homebound and will not be able to come to the funeral.
When I was a little girl she helped to raise me. She was my next door neighbor and I spent every minute I could with her. I had never met anyone at that time like her and that had done so much and been so many places. I also shared her love of dogs and of all animals. I really loved her. She will alway be in my heart as well as my mother and my brothers.
It was a pleasure working with Ms. Keim for over 30 years at the Veterans Administration Hospital. She was a wonderful nurse and friend to all.
It was a pleasure working with Ms. Keim.
