Lenora Beatrice Guthrie's Obituary
Lenora Beatrice “Bea” Guthrie, beloved matriarch and cherished member of the Fayetteville community, passed away on February 3, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on August 1, 1936, in Colt, AR, Bea lived a life filled with love, laughter, and long-time friends.
Bea had tremendous love for her family and friends and lived her life with the Lord in her heart. She was an active member of P.E.O. and relished her time spent with her book club companions. Formerly a devoted member of Central United Methodist Church, she found community at City View Baptist Church in her later years. She also loved and adored her dog, Teddy, who will be loved and looked after by her family.
Bea is preceded in death by Bill, her husband of forty-eight years, and her parents, John Clark and Myrtle Clark. Her legacy is carried on by her loving children: Patrick Guthrie (Katherine), Walter Guthrie, and Barbara Freudiger (Bob). She is also survived by her sisters, Ella Jo Davis, and Linda Kay Hillis, as well as five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Nelson Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville on Friday, February 9, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., followed by a service at noon. Bea will be laid to rest at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Memorial donations in her honor may be made to City View Baptist Church, 1792 E. Joyce Boulevard, Fayetteville, AR, 72703. Bea will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
