Leo Jene Jennings' Obituary
Leo J. Jennings, 89, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away August 5, 2020. He was born October 29, 1930 at Harrisburg, Arkansas to Edward M. and Carrie Heath Jennings. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was in VF-837 aboard the U.S. Antietam, CV-36. Leo attended the University of Arkansas where he received an MBA. He retired from Arkansas Power and Light Company (Entergy of Arkansas) as District Manager of the Forrest City District. He was Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 110 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, served as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts for over 20 years, and was awarded The Silver Beaver Award. He also worked with several other Civic and Professional Organizations.
Survivors include his wife, Tomme Jennings, a son and daughter-in-law, Barton and Sarah Jennings of Avon, IL, a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Gina Jennings of The Woodlands, Texas and two grandchildren, Renee Wetzel (Paul) of Overland Park, Kansas, and Ryan Jennings of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Springdale, Arkansas, The Washington Regional Hospice, or the place of your choosing.
