Leroy Oscar Storaasli, 84 of Springdale, AR passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Springdale, Arkansas from metastatic prostate cancer due to exposure to Agent Orange in the Viet Nam war. He was born July 27, 1937 in Plenty Read Obituary
I met Leroy once while attending an AIAA Conference in La Jolla CA (near the Mormon Temple). He stopped by the lobby of my hotel and we exchanged genealogical info as Storaasli's were scarce in those days. He was working in real estate then after his Naval career. He was a fine gentleman who impressed me.

I didn’t know Roy as much as I would have liked to, an occasional get-together with coworkers….A Hi here and there, but how I really knew him was through Peggy. He was a good man, a very patient man and he loved Peggy as she did him. Both went through a lot, I include both because an illness like this involves the caregiver as well as family and friends.
In memories we find comfort and in time we find peace and he is at peace now.
I will always remember him as the guy standing behind her, rolling his eyes at a new real estate listing or seeing her with a new remodeling hard hat, again.

Sorry for your loss but I have fond memories of the times we shared family events with you and when our friends met you and in turn we all got together for dinner and talked about how strange it was that our friends from Canada just happened to meet you and Leroy at the Rose Parade. Leroy was a member of our North Golf Course family in Sun City! He served on the Board of Directors for several years and always gave good directions for the betterment of the course. We enjoyed playing golf with Leroy and missed him when he and Peggy moved back to Arkansas. He was a true gentleman!! Prayers for the family!
