Lisa Gail Land Murphy, 46 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Friday, June 2, 2006 in Springdale, AR. She was born February 2, 1960 in Little Rock, AR to John and Bernardine (Narey) Land.
She was a graduate of Mount St. Mary's Academy in Little Rock, AR and University of Arkansas in Little Rock with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. She used her degree in sales and marketing in the television industry. She was the co-founder for Foundation to Improve & Secure Habitat (F.I.S.H), President of UALR Honorary Broadcast Society, and fundraising chairman for Fayetteville Band Boosters, Marching Bulldog Band. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springdale, AR.
She is survived by one son, Connor N. Murphy of Fayetteville, AR, her father, John Land and wife Sylvia of Bryant, AR, her mother, Bernardine C. Land of Little Rock, AR, one brother, John R. Land of Little Rock, AR, one sister, Susan E. Holleman of Kansas City, MO, and her paternal grandmother, Pauline B. Land.
A memorial mass will be recited 6:30 PM Monday, June 5, 2006 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springdale, AR.
Memorials may be made to the Fayetteville Band Boosters for the Marching Bulldog Band c/o Fayetteville High School.
