Louise Margaret Beeson Morell's Obituary
Louise Margaret Beeson Morell, 85, of Farmington, passed on March 2, 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Louise was born April 7, 1931 in Boise, Idaho to Carl and Zelda Parsons Beeson and graduated from Boise High in 1949 and attended Boise Junior College (now Boise State). Her first husband, and father of her two oldest children, was George Rene Nelson of Portland, Oregon. Later, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she met her second husband, Frederick Gerald Morell, Sr; together they had three children. Not wanting to raise their family in a large city, they decided to move to Arkansas in 1960 where Fred had been stationed prior to deployment to Europe in WWII. Their truck broke down in Russellville, where they stayed for the next 32 years and raised their family. They grew peaches among other products on a farm near London for a period of time. Louise later worked for the Ozark-St. Francis office of the U.S. Forest Service for 23 years before retiring in 1990. After her retirement, she and Fred traveled in their RV all over the U.S. and Canada and settled in Golden Valley, Arizona. Part of their travels included extensive research into their genealogy which compiled a book of 13 branches of ancestry. Louise was also an avid sewer, designer and quilter making numerous items for charities, family members and friends. Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Frederick G. Morell, Sr. and one son, Kirk Samuel Nelson. She is survived by sons Frederick G. Morell, Jr. and wife Liesl of Burlingame, California; Dean R. Morell and wife Melissa of Arlington, Texas; daughters Christine Bunow and husband Michael of Turlock, California; Margaret Sorrells and husband Jeff of Farmington, Arkansas; daughter-in-law Leslee Nelson of Sonora, California. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, sisters and other relatives. A memorial service will be held for Louise and Fred at Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa, Idaho in early August 2017. They will be laid to rest in Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise, Idaho. For memorial information, please contact Margaret at [email protected] or P.O. Box 661, Farmington, Arkansas 72730. In lieu of flowers, honorariums can be made to the Warhawk Air Museum, 201 Municipal Dr., Nampa, Idaho 83687 or online at warhawkairmuseum.org.
