Lucille Mabry Croft, 88, died Saturday, July 19, 2008 in Fayetteville. She was born July 20, 1919, in the Spring Creek community of Benton County, Arkansas, to Ed Mabry and Mable Sharp Mabry. She had one sister, the late Reba Mabr Read Obituary
Mothers are known for many things but the conduct of their children is most telling. Bill is my friend whose challenges in life, honesty, integrity and loyalty leave no doubt that he had a wonderful mother who he loved as much as he loves life and his friends. I unfortunately did not have a chance to meet his mother, but I can see her strength and her love for him through her son, my friend, Bill.

Dear Marolyn and family, Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and all your family as you say good-bye to your dear Mother and Grandmother today. I remember when Heather showed me the pictures that Bob took of Lucille's beautiful garden at Butterfield Trail Village and I was so happy that she lived in such a lovely home. I wish I was closer to give everyone a big hug, but just know that I send my love to all of you during this time.

Lucille was a true friend of mine, although lately I haven't been able to spend time with her. We have spent a lot of time together eating out and also there at Butterfield. Her and Walter would ask me to go eat with them after church a lot. I enjoyed being with them. She was the one who encouraged me to join the choir at church in 1988 and I have been in the choir for almost 20 years. I will miss her phone calls and going to see her but I know she has gone home and in a better place where there is no more sickness or pain and she is with her loved ones and that is where she wants to be, so don't be sad it is a celebration for her.

With deep regrets I learned of Patrick Clary's grandmother's death. I know Patrick "Doc" was very close to her and our deepest sympathy is with the entire family.
