Lynda Zelen Dockery's Obituary
Lynda Zelen Dockery, age 74, of Fayetteville passed away Friday August 1, 2025. She was born June 12, 1951 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to George and Zelen Dockery. She was a member of Baldwin Church of Christ for many years and a member of Center Street Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Thomas W. Dockery and her brother-in-law, J.C. Hughes. She taught school in the Fayetteville School system for 32 years at Bates Elementary and Jefferson Elementary.
Lynda is survived by her sister Mary Hughes of Winslow; two brothers, George L. Dockery, Jr and his wife Cheri of Pittsburg, Kansas, and Bobby Dockery and his wife Meredy of Searcy, Arkansas; a sister in law, Patricia Cochran of Fayetteville and 7 nephews, 8 nieces, 17 great-nephews and 18 great nieces.
Visitation will be 10:00 am – 11:00 am Wednesday August 6, 2025 at Center Street Church of Christ with the funeral service to follow beginning at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Black Oak Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville.
