I had an opportunity to talk briefly with "Miss Thurman" a few years ago when I saw her in a restaurant. When I was a teenager, I never thought about telling a teacher how much I enjoyed being in his or her class, so it was such a treat to be able to tell this lovely, kind, and gracious lady, that she was very special to me. I remember her as being very patient with her students. She was just as I remembered her and seemed genuinely delighted that I had taken a few minutes to tell her how much I loved her class and how I was SO glad I had learned to type! It certainly comes in handy now! I'm sorry to hear of her passing, but I am confident that she is home with the Lord. Thanks again, Miss Thurman (Mrs. Taylor). I'll see you again one of these days.
