We met Marvin about 10 yrs ago at Valley View golf course weekly tournament. I had just started playing golf and he was very happy to welcome me and my husband. He ran the tournament and was very good at it. He shared his war stories with us and I was amazed and how he survived but Marvin was a fighter. If you knew Marvin he had a very colorful language but that’s was just Marvin. One yr I bought him a megaphone so he would have to yell so loud to get everyone’s attention at the tournament. He thought that was funny but brought it every week. It’s been about 2 yrs since I’ve seen him. Marvin was caring and funny and always kind to me and my husband. He will be sorely missed, but his body will hurt no more 😢

I met Marvin for the first time a couple of weeks ago to pray with him and to minister God's Word upon him. He was very kind and clearly confirmed his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I left confident that he was saved. Therefore I know that he is in heaven where Jesus prepared a place for him (John 14:2-3). The only trouble was, I kept calling him "sir" even though I was told not to. Old habits are hard to break.
All phone calls were limited to 5 minutes
Whenever he looked over his glasses you knew he wasn't happy with you.
He would call me at 6:30 am on my birthday to sing Happy Birthday and wanted to make sure he was the first phone call. His singing was as about as bad as mine.lol
As long as I can remember I called him on Veterans Day to thank him for his service to our country in Vietnam and there after.
My last memory will be this last Veterans Day when I called, he sounded good and had a nice 5 minute visit.
I will miss you big brother and I will always love you. Rest In Peace and may the Angels take you home to Heaven.
