I am grateful that Mary Lou is part of my life story. People don't cross paths by accident and I am a richer person, having been given the opportunity to know her. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who love and will miss Mary Lou...
I had the honor of serving as music and youth director at Cornerstone when she was still a mission church. Since I lived in Prairie Grove, it wasn't long until I started "carpooling" with Mrs. Mary Lou to church each Sunday and Wednesday. Usually, we would drive her car and I would take the wheel. She would get so nervous on 540 and beg me just to get in the right lane and go slow... telling me that I was the music director, it wasn't like they could start without me! I enjoyed our drives together; she always had advice or just a good story to keep me laughing. I know that she is now in the presence of our Lord and is no longer in pain. My prayers go out to the family during this time of loss.
