Mary Lou (Dowell) Mayo's Obituary
Mary Lou Dowell Mayo, 79 of Springdale died Friday, July 20, 2012 in Bentonville. She was born November 21, 1932 in Fort Smith, Arkansas the daughter of Hugh Densmore Snapp and Dorothy Alene Wallace.
She was a member of Corner Stone Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Mayo and a daughter, Annette Dowell.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Witcher of Colcord, OK, Kathy Holtzclaw and husband, Benny of Springdale; step-son, Mike Mayo of Fayetteville; 3 grandsons, Clay Witcher and, wife, Melissa of Tupelo, MS, Cary Witcher and wife, Jessica of New Market, TN, Matt Holtzclaw of Springdale and 5 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Moore’s Chapel from 5:30 to 7:30 PM on Monday, July 23, 2012.
Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Moore’s Chapel with Reverend Phil Misenheimer officiating. Burial to follow in Mt. Comfort Cemetery under the direction of Moore’s Chapel.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in her name be made to The American Heart Association or Circle of Life Hospice.
