PHILLIP N. GRONSETH
Phillip N. Gronseth, 72, of Bella Vista, Arkansas passed away on April 7, 2006 at Fayetteville, Arkansas. Phil was born on July 18, 1933 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Reverend James W. Gronseth and Julia Grandstrand Gronseth. Phil was the beloved husband of Lynne Mueller Gronseth of Bella Vista, Arkansas and beloved father of Alexander M. Khalaf.
Phil is survived by his children Phillip N. Gronseth, Jr. of Monument, Colorado; Joyce Easthouse of Minneapolis, Minneapolis; Renee Either of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and Carolyn Van Hosen of Roswell, Georgia. Brother of Magdalene Stolee, 86 Kenyon, Minnesota; Luther Gronseth, 85, Eagen, Minnesota; Joyce Limburgh, 84, Apple Valley, Minnesota, and Reverend Stephen Gronseth, 80, Atlantic, Iowa. Grandfather of Matt and Suzie Gronseth, Owensboro, Kentucky; Amy and Paul Berry, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Julia Van Hosen, Roswell, Georgia; Conner Van Hosen, Roswell, Georgia, and David Easthouse.
Phil attended Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He dearly loved the college and always maintained close ties to the college. Phil left gifts to both the athletic and biology departments of Augsburg. Phil was an entrepreneur and owned a Sporting Goods Store and Vending Business in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Phil retired in Arkansas to take advantage of the natural beauty, temperate climate, and beautiful golf courses. Phil attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Phil devoted the last year of his life to being a devoted husband and father and had finally found true peace and happiness. He loved life and relished each and every moment he spent with his family and close friends who lived in Northwest Arkansas. He loved attending Walton Art Center performances and attended Razorback football, baseball, and basketball games. Phil had been an avid golfer and built his own personal 9-hole putting green so he could continue his love of the sport. Phil was a very talented singer and loved to listen to different genres of music particularly Christian. He devoted a large portion of his time to singing in church and performed publicly on numerous occasions while living in Minneapolis.
Services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006, 11:00 a.m. at Saint Thomas Aquinas, 603 N. Leverett Ave., Fayetteville, Arkansas followed by interment at Fairview Memorial Gardens, 1728 E. Mission Blvd., Fayetteville, Arkansas. Visitation will be conducted on Friday, April 21, 2006 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, 4520 N. Crossover Rd., Fayetteville, Arkansas from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. Family will receive visitors from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow interment at Inn at Carnall Hall, The University of Arkansas, 465 N. Arkansas Ave., Fayetteville, Arkansas. Family and friends may visit www.nelsonberna.com to sign the family guest book and pay tribute to Phil.

Service Date Time Saturday, April 22, 2006 11:00 AM Service Location St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish, 603 N. Leverett Ave., Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701. Burial will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
