Raymond Lee Edrington Jr.'s Obituary
Raymond Lee Edrington Jr. (Lee), 61, of Charleston, South Carolina passed away in his home on September 16th, 2019.
He was born to parents Raymond Lee and Shirley Edrington on January 30th, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee. Lee graduated from Batesville High School, and received a degree in engineering from the University of Arkansas.
He married Gay Hout in 2010 who survives him. Lee is also survived by son Raymond Lee “Trey” Edrington III, daughters Elise and Elizabeth Edrington, mother Shirley Shoemaker Edrington, sisters Beth McEver and Susan Edrington, and grandson Leandro Vasquez. Lee was predeceased by father Raymond Edrington.
Lee was known for his kind and generous spirit, his ability to make friends wherever he went whether it was a work conference or the line at the supermarket, his love of music, nature and animals (especially his dog Ernie), and as an avid fan of his beloved Arkansas Razorbacks. He will most importantly be remembered as a loving husband, devoted son, playful and protective big brother, cherished uncle, and adoring father to his three children.
Friends, family, and all others whose lives were touched by Lee are invited to the Wesley Chapel of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville at 6 W Dickson Street on Monday, September 30th at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers and in memory of Lee’s love of coaching kids’ sports, the family asks that donations be made to the Boys and Girls Club of Fayetteville – 560 Rupple Road, Fayetteville, AR 72704.
