I miss you a bunch Rich. Just sat down and you popped in my mind. Time goes by so fast. Seems like yesterday you were my annoying little brother. What I wouldn’t give to have those days back again. Remember people life is short. Tell those you love often. I know you’re in Heaven with mom and dad and Cindy and one day we will all be together again. I had the biggest crush on Rich when I was in highschool. He lived across the street from me growing up. My mom hired his band to play at my birthday party a few years in a row. Even though he never liked me back, he was always so kind and respectful. He treated me like a person and not just an annoyance.
It's interesting that one of his brothers lives in Montgomery, TX. That is where I am right now and for the next few weeks. Small world.

Rich was a great friend and I always remember how he was upbeat, no drummer joke inferred. I remember one time he introduced me to family members and the called him uncle, even though they were a few years his senior. They all laughed about it. A great spirit.
My most sincere condolences to Rich's family and friends. My memories of him from what seems like a lifetime ago bring me much joy and laughter. He was cut from special cloth... rest easy, Mr. Jones. You will be missed...may the memories left behind solace to any and all who knew and loved you.
