Rich Lee Jones' Obituary
Richard Lee Jones, affectionately known as Rich, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2023, at the age of 52, in Bentonville, Arkansas. Born on September 20, 1971, in Papillion, Nebraska, to the late William and Juanita (Miller) Jones, Rich leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service.
Rich's vibrant personality was exemplified by his great sense of humor, making him a joy to be around. He dedicated his professional life to human resources and labor relations, where he served as a wonderful, servant-hearted leader and mentor. During his 30+ years with Walmart in operations, labor relations and HR took Rich and family to Nebraska, Colorado, Michigan, Arizona and Arkansas. Rich's impact reached beyond the workplace; he touched the lives of those he worked with, leaving an indelible mark on their careers and personal growth.
Beyond his professional achievements, Rich was a devoted family man. He cherished his 27-year marriage to his beloved wife, Holly Jones, and was a proud father to Noah (17) and Grace (13) Jones. Family was the cornerstone of Rich's life, and his love and support were unwavering.
Rich's passions extended beyond the workplace and family life. An accomplished guitarist, he found solace and joy in music, leaving behind a harmonious soundtrack to the memories shared with friends and family. His love for history, music, bands & lyrics made him a walking encyclopedia of fascinating facts and stories, enriching the lives of those fortunate enough to engage in conversation with him.
Rich is survived by his loving wife, Holly, and their children, Noah, and Grace. He is also survived by his siblings: Bill Jones and wife Cindy of Montgomery, Texas; Jerry Jones and wife Kandi of Louisville, Nebraska; Mary Lamprecht and partner Steve Sedlacek of Papillion; Mike Jones and wife Kathy of Papillion, Nebraska; Jeff Jones and wife Sally of Papillion, Nebraska; Tim Jones and wife Debbie of Hensley, Arkansas; and John Jones and wife Patti of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Additionally, Rich leaves behind a host of extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish the memories created with him.
