My big brother was a strongminded christian. He did not fear death...he wanted to make sure his family would be ok. He was a "rock" for so many and will be missed terribly. He loved Katie with an all-inclusive love..they were and will always be soulmates. I will miss him and continue to pray for Katie, Allison and Jennifer. Katie--he taught you how to be strong. Katie, Allison , Jennifer and all family members, you are in our prayers. From the onset of his diagnosis to his dying moment, Katie, you and the girls taught us how to live and die as children of God, knowing this earth is not our home. What an example Richard was to all of us. By faith, we rejoice in the hope of heaven he prepared himself for, long before he became ill. Along with you, we sorrow not as those who have no hope. I WAS SO SORRY TO LEARN OF RICK'S PASSING. I AM SO GLAD WE GOT TO GO ON A BONE FISHING TRIP TO THE BAHAMAS TOGETHER. THE TRIP IS ONE OF THE HIGH POINTS IN MY LIFE. WE BOTH ENJOYED IT IMMENSELY. I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA AND AT TIMES THE PAIN IS SO GREAT THAT I HAVE LAIN IN BED AND PRAYED TO DIE. I SOMETIMES WONDER WHAT GOD HAS IN MIND? RICK WAS MORE THAN MY ACCOUNTANT HE WAS MY FRIEND.

I'm glad the suffering is over for Rick, although I know he hated to leave you behind, especially Katie and his girls.
