Richard Harris Meads' Obituary
Richard Harris Meads, 59 of Springdale died Monday, October 28, 2013 in Springdale. He was born December 26, 1953 in Oak Harbor, Washington to son of Stephen Meads and Theresa Tooley Meads
He married the former Katie Gehlbach on January 16, 1982 in Dallas, Texas. He was a graduate of the University of Texas and was self-employed as a Certified Public Account. Previously he was employed with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Dallas, TX and Ryder Systems in Miami, FL He was a member of the Springdale Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He was also a member of Old Wire Road Church of Christ and was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew. Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Katie Meads of the home; 2 daughters, Allison Meads of Fayetteville, Jennifer Meads of Springdale; 2 sisters, Denise Emerson, of Ocala, FL, Stephanie Jones of Wichita Falls, TX; brother, Dan Meads of Pottsboro, TX and 15 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:00PM till service time on Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Funeral service will be 5:00 PM, Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Cremation will be handled by Nelson-Berna following the service.
