Rickey "Rick" Lynn McCoy's Obituary
Rickey “Rick” Lynn McCoy, 75 of Fayetteville, AR passed on November 25, 2025, in Fayetteville. He was born April 17,1950 in Morrilton, AR to Herbert Hoover McCoy and Velma (Brown) McCoy.
Rick was a graduate of UCA in Conway, AR and was a former football coach in Morrilton, AR where he won a State Championship in 1973. He then coached in Searcy, AR. After coaching, he began a long career in the insurance industry, starting in Searcy and completing his career with his own agency Rick McCoy Insurance. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Rick was an avid golfer and member of Paradise Valley Athletic Club. He was a former board member of the Arkansas State Golf Association.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, four sons, Stuart McCoy of FL, Mitch McCoy and wife Alecia of Ft. Worth, TX, Brad Dutton and wife Carol of Fayetteville, AR, Jared Dutton and wife Courtney of Fayetteville, AR, one sister, Shirley Wood of Arlington, TN, one aunt, Donna Faye Hill of Center Ridge, AR, nine grandchildren, Peyton, Conlie, Ella, Miller, Murray, Ryan, Ben, Gunner, and Carter. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Fayetteville with Pastor Doug Falknor and Pastor Josh Mauldin officiating. Private burial will be at Baptist Ford Cemetery in Greenland.
