Robert Adam Herbert's Obituary
Robert “Bob” Adam Herbert, 91, passed away on April 11, 2025, in Rogers. He was born on October 2, 1933 in E. St. Louis, Illinois to the late Adam Michael and Rosanna (Rackett) Herbert. He was the loving husband of 60 years to the late Carole Bernice (Lewis) Herbert.
Bob served in the Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. He was a Sergeant, Battery C 1st BN 142, FA. After returning to the States, he served with the National Guard Pistol Team.
Bob viewed life as an adventure and did many things during his life. He was a commercial grain farmer, First Responder (in South Carolina), Real Estate Entrepreneur, wood carver, hunter, fisherman, built over 20 custom homes and was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA).
Three of his greatest personal accomplishments were becoming a U.S. Olympic Personal Coach and Team Official, Wal-Mart Cycling Racing Team Member with his son, Arkansas National Champion Robert Herbert Jr., and becoming a US National Tennis Champion at the age of 74 in the 60 year old division 6.0.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carole; and son, Robert Herbert, Jr.
Bob is survived by his sons, Michael Herbert (Christel) and Scott Herbert (Mary Lee); sister, Doris Jones of Mascoutah, IL; grandchildren, Candee Berck, Taylor Zamzow, Megan Herbert, Michelle McMaster, Savanna Wright, Adam Herbert, Robert Herbert III; two great-grandchildren; and 2 nieces.
He was an amazing son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be on Wednesday at 10am in Wilson Cemetery, Springdale.
