Sara Bartlett (Faith In Action Program Manager)
Mr. Frantzen was a special man and client of Faith in Action. Through talking to him, hearing his recent life story, and then matching him with Jerry Thompson for volunteer services, I learned to care about his history and the end of his life.
It was first through Mr. Frantzen that I created the idea of matching returning Iraq war veterans who are disabled with our FIA aging WWII, Korea and Vietnam veterans. Sadly, this new program is starting in June, 2010, but it will be in his memory.
Faith in Action staff and our volunteers feel priviledged to have known the aging and homebound such as Mr. Frantzen. We offer our sympathy to his family, and we thank you for remembering Faith in Action in his memorials.
