Ronald Jay Migliori's Obituary
Ronald Jay Migliori, age 68, of Pineville, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, in Rogers, Arkansas after an extended illness. Born November 28, 1956, in Penn Yan, New York, he was the son of Nicholas J. and Martha (Fuller) Migliori, who preceded him in death.
At the age of 20, Ron answered the call to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was assigned to numerous domestic and overseas locations as an Aerospace Control and Warning Systems Operator. His role involved highly technical work in space and missile detection, including support to NORAD and the U.S. Space Command. He was promoted to Staff Sergeant and was awarded multiple commendations during his nearly eight years of service, including two Air Force Commendation Medals and the Outstanding Unit Award. He took great pride in his service, particularly his time in air traffic operations and space monitoring.
After his honorable discharge, Ron started a family and worked in multiple industries before settling into a career as a production planner, a role where he continued to bring the same diligence and steady leadership he was known for in the military. He retired eight years ago and embraced the quiet joys of life.
Ron was a man of depth and curiosity—an avid reader, a history buff, and a lover of documentaries, learning, and lively conversation. He had a dry, quick wit and a love for stand-up comedy, superheroes, live theater, and the occasional outrageous pair of socks (favorites included Bugs Bunny, Marvel characters, and even Sasquatch). He also had a deep appreciation for classic and exotic cars—especially the elegant coupes of the 1950s and ’60s—and could spend hours admiring the design and engineering of a Bentley or Lamborghini.
Music played a powerful role in his life. From Mozart to the Beatles to the Dave Matthews Band, he delighted in hearing layers of instruments, often commenting on the beauty of live performance. Although he never made it to the symphony with his wife, it was always on their list.
A true sports enthusiast, Ron was a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and had a deep love of the game, history, and strategy behind it all. He also rooted passionately for Penn State and the Washington Redskins—refusing to call them anything else. He followed games religiously and never missed a chance to talk stats, share history, or argue a great play with anyone, any time!
He was most himself by the water—soaking up the sun near his pool or a beach, often with a book in hand and a beloved pet by his side. Ron loved traveling with his wife, Michele, with whom he shared 20+ years of deep companionship, laughter, travel, movies, and love. They met in the most unlikely of places—an online game room—and quickly became best friends which, in time, led to becoming each other’s home.
Ron’s life held both triumph and heartache. In his later years, despite heartfelt efforts to reconnect, he carried the disappointment of not being able to share the happiness he had found—or the life he had built—with those he once held closest. Even so, he found deep peace and fulfillment in his chosen family and the enduring friendships he nurtured over the decades.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Michele Migliori, his five siblings and their beautiful families, two children, one grandchild, extended family, a wide circle of friends, and fellow veterans who cherished his quiet strength, loyalty, and gentle presence.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Rogers, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to his favorite charity, St. Jude’s, a veterans’ organization or a local symphony in Ron’s memory. Details of Ron’s Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
