Figured it out!
Sandy is my sister, 6 years older and typical big sister. She would put my hair in a ponytail for me and wack me on the head if I moved and say”sit still “. Her high school sweetheart and then husband was very sweet to her. He bought her 3 layer boxes of See’s candy which she would not share. Every time she left I took a piece off the bottom. When she got to the bottom, it was gone. She knew and never said a word. Her nickname was Tootie and mom said that sis always had one foot out the door. She was always ready for the next adventure. Every summer we would go on vacation. She got in the backseat in California and woke up in Iowa. I envied her for being able to meet a stranger and walk away with a friend. I was 15 when she moved to Arkansas . Most of our relationship was built over the phone and it was wonderful. We had our disagreements but always knew we were sisters till the end. We could dial the phone and talk for an hour knowing exactly how we were by the sound of our voice. Our relationship continued all the way to our FaceTime on the last days of her life. It was a beautiful moment. I still have so many things to say, questions to ask, feelings to express. There is a loneliness now, a piece missing
So sis here is my memories to share. May always have so much to say. Mostly I just want you back, I love you so much
