Sandra Wommack's Obituary
Sandra Wommack, peacefully passed from this life on June 3, 2024 in Huntsville, AR surrounded by her family. Sandra was born on September 19, 1953 in Fayetteville, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Stanberry and Jo Ann Compton (Tuck) and her beloved nephew Russell Keen. She is survived by her son Michael Wommack and wife Angela; her granddaughters Lelia Wommack and Natalie Davis; her great granddaughter Dallas Wommack; sister Carin Stanberry Evans, and two children ; brother Ernest "Scott" Stanberry and wife Shaun, and two children; sister Nancy Stanberry Keen and husband Randy, and one child; brother Stan Stanberry and wife Shanon, and six children.
Sandra graduated for the University of Arkansas with a bachelor’s degree in Education. She was full of wisdom on all levels. From an early age she had a great desire for reading. Sandra also had a passion for taking care of others, and spent her later years pursuing that passion working as a Certified Nursing Assistant caring for those in need. One of her last life accomplishments was becoming the 2024 Valentine’s Day Queen at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab.
One of Sandra’s favorite activities was crafting. She loved attending craft fairs as well as making crafts. It always brought her great joy to make a piece of jewelry or pull a project out of her craft closet and do a craft at the kitchen table with her grandkids. Sandra was a wonderful cook and always enjoyed cooking for her family and hosting dinners in her home. She was known for cooking her famous green bean bundles at Thanksgiving. In her downtime, she loved watching Hallmark movies.
Sandra was a wonderful woman, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She loved her family dearly and had such a giving heart.
A special THANK YOU to the nurses and caregivers at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab team who went above and beyond to make Sandra not only feel like she was at home, but also made her feel like family and feel loved. We cannot thank them enough for the quality of care and level of compassion and love their team provided Sandra during her last months. Each of you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
A private celebration of life will be held in honor of Sandra for family and friends.
