Thomas 'Peppy' Pepsin's Obituary
Thomas “Peppy” Pepsin, 81, of Fayetteville died January 16, 2013. Peppy was born November 21, 1931, in Taylor, PA. He was the son of the late John Pepsin and Margaret Donelly Pepsin.
Peppy was a High School Football Coach. He played football for Taylor High School and received a football scholarship to the University of Miami where he played from 1951-1955. He served in the Army from 1956-1958.
He was drafted by the Chicago Cardinals. He played football for the new Canadian League- The Hamilton Tiger Cats. He was also on the All Army Football Team in Ulm, Germany. He was a member of the University of Miami “M Club”, Iron Arrow, Phi Delta Theta fraternity, ROTC, and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Pepsin, daughter, Deonna “Dee Dee” Tucker and her husband Robert Tucker, grandsons Dante and Daniel Vaught (Lillian), granddaughter Deanna Tucker, great grandchild Victoria Vaught, sister, Marie Mashurak, brother Frank Pepsin, and niece, Michelle Gawal.
The family will receive friends from 5PM until Rosary time at 7PM on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be 10:30AM, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale with Father John Connell officiating. Burial will be 1PM Wednesday at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
