Timothy (Tim) Leo Mullin, age 57, lost his battle with ALS (Lou Gerhig's disease) on December 10, 2007 at the home of his brother Russ and sister in law, Elinor in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tim was born to Anne Link and Leo Mullin, Read Obituary
"Moon" Mullin and Anne were cousins of my father Valentine (Vallie) Link and my mother Milderd Link. Moon Mullin was a catchy name which sticks in my memory from my childhood in Piqua, Kansas. My father passed away in 2002 but my mother is living at Atchison Senior Village in Atchison, Kansas. I am 61 and "someday" hope to record as much of the family history as I can.

Tim was a great guy and a great cousin. I will miss him very much. Some of my fondest childhood memories include Tim. We had more fun over Christmas vacations and summer visits at each others house. Our marathon Monopoly games we enjoyed over Christmas taught me that Tim would make a good businessman. Tim was a man of integrity. As adults we had several business dealings and there was never, ever a problem. Later Tim was a role model. He faced his last challenge with real courage. I never heard Tim complain about his ALS. He accepted what had befallen him with grace. I will forever respect and admire Tim for the way he lived the last of his life under very difficult circumsances.

I don't know your family. I lost my husband, Joelynn, age 51, to ALS in May 2007. I read the obituary in the Arkansas Dem-Gazette today. I know what your family has gone through, and I just want you to know you will be in my thoughts and prayers. This is a terrible disease and no one should have to suffer through it, but my husband did as well, and he didn't complain either. The courage that surfaced was amazing. I just felt compelled to let you know I felt compassion for your family when I read the obituary today. He must have been a caring man to donate to ALS research. Thank you,

Knowledge came easily to Tim, I don't think he ever forgot anything he had read, watched on PBS/CNN, listened to on NPR, or researched on the internet. He respected people who made an EFFORT to learn and use that knowledge to make it in our current world. You were my favorite uncle. You made me laugh even when your battle was becoming overwhelming. Thank you for everything you taught me through your disease, through your sadness, your angry, your acceptance. You were such a brave soul. I remember sitting with you for an entire day when you were too weak to be. I never left your side. And we read to you. And we laughed with you. And we cried.
You were my favorite Uncle. And my Dad lost his best friend.
I love you, Uncle Tim. I'll see you in my dreams.
