Trilby Jane Burks Maul's Obituary
Trilby Jane Burks Maul of Eureka Springs, AR, age 96, died Friday, September 17, 2021, in Springdale, Arkansas. Trilby was born September 8, 1925, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to William Stringfield Burks and Margaret Chiles Burks. She was retired from Campbell Soup Company. Trilby attended the University of Kansas City and was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She volunteered at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for 20 years and prior to this service, she volunteered at Kansas City Hospital while attending the university, and in military hospitals in Italy, Japan, and South Korea. Trilby was an avid bridge player.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Billie Magee McCabe.
Survivors include her son David Donald Maul and wife Jane of Eureka Springs. Three grandchildren; Nancy Maul of Tulsa, Oklahoma, David Burks Maul of Spiro, Oklahoma and Matthew Jennings Maul of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Two step-grandsons; Dr. Wade Derden (Angie) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Drew Derden of Cabot, Arkansas. Eight great grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren and two nephews; William C. Magee (Marsha) of Buda, Texas, and James J. Magee (Brenda) of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church in Eureka Springs.
