W E. Higgins' Obituary
Mr. W.E. "Bill" Higgins, 92 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Thursday, March 4, 2004 in his home. He was born August 21, 1911 in Monett, MO to Fred L. and Millie (Fowler) Higgins.
After completing high school and junior college in Monett he graduated from the St. Louis School of Pharmacy.
Bill was a pharmacist prior to his employment as a sales specialist with Upjohn Pharmaceutical where he retired in 1976 after 36 years of service.
He was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
In his earlier years, he was both a Mason and Shriner. He loved to golf and play cards with his friends at the Fayetteville Country Club.
His first wife, Mary, and a son, Mike, preceded him in death.
Survivors include wife, Laney Higgins; one daughter; Sharron Moore of Lake Oswego, OR, two step-daughter; Tonya Ford of Tulsa, OK, Micki McWhorter of Rogers, AR, five grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 8, 2004 in the Chapel at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home with Reverend Tom Frase officiating.
